Pursuit Adaptive Sports and Recreation

Pursuit Adaptive Sports and Recreation organizes supported and adaptive recreational activities, ranging from cycling, to golf, to rafting, for adults with physical disabilities in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland.

Catalyst Sports

Catalyst Sports is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing adults with disabilities access to adaptive adventure sports while expanding their social community. Catalyst Sports has 12 chapter across the SouthWest, including in the greater DC area.

MedStar Adaptive Sports and Fitness

MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital’s Adaptive Sports and Fitness program helps individuals with physical disabilities pursue recreational and competitive sports at no cost. The program also provides coaching, training and equipment, while hosting tournaments and special events throughout the year.

Stroke Comeback Center

The Stroke Comeback Center provides programs and classes to survivors of stroke or other neurological events, emphasizing individualized help toward survivors’ goals. Their classes and programs range from speech therapy and communication support to adaptive fitness classes.

Maryland Technology Assistance Program

Maryland Technology Assistance Program (MDTAP) provides assistive technology devices and services to individuals with disabilities, from lending accessible telephones and telecommunications equipment, to vehicle and home modifications like widening doorways and adding ramps.
